Assessments will include an employee questionnaire, a workstation assessment, set up, as well as a light, noise, temperature and humidity check.

Course / Assessment Objectives

Provide awareness and training to employees on how to assess, set up and use their Display screen equipment and workstations to provide for comfort, safety, injury prevention and to meet the all the legislative requirements for employers.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites for this course, however participants should be capable of accessing a stable internet connection and have a webcam for virtual assessments.

Students should have a sufficient level of English to understand the content delivered.

Who should do it ?

Every worker that uses a Display Screen for their work must do this course as outlined in The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 5 of Part 2 outline the requirements that must be adhered to in relation to Display Screen Equipment

These regulations are applicable:

  • If the employee has no choice but to use the VDU to carry out her/his work
  • If the employee normally uses the VDU for continuous periods of more than one hour
  • If the VDU is generally used by the employee on a daily basis

Certification

All assessments are conducted using iAuditor and a full PDF report is provided.

All awareness training participants receive a certificate.
