First Aid Response Course / Occupational First Aid

Occupational First Aid Replacement

Since the 1st June 2018, the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) only recognises the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Response (FAR) training standard as meeting the needs of occupational first aid in workplaces.
However, any QQI OFA training completed prior to 1st June 2018 will be recognised for the full 2 years duration from the date of training.
PHECC has approved a large number of organisations as PHECC FAR Recognised Institutions (RIs). The current list of RIs can be found at www.phecit.ie. Additional applications continue to be processed.
Individuals wishing to become FAR instructors should familiarise themselves with PHECC FAR Instructor requirements at www.phecit.ie.
