Course Aim
To give you the skills and the confidence to deal with cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke and choking in adults, children and infants.
Course Content
How to make emergency calls.
CPR - airway, rescue breaths, chest compressions, barrier devices
Use of defibrillators
The recovery position
Recognising and dealing with cardiac arrest
Recognising and dealing with heart attack
Aspirin administration
Recognising and dealing with choking
Recognising stroke
The safe airway / recovery position
Included items
Each student will receive :
A pocket mask, with case and gloves.
A face shield on a key ring.
A PHECC CFR manual
Red emergency card
FAST assessment card
CFR report form
Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for this course
Who should do it ?
Everyone should do this course.
Course Numbers and Location
This course is limited to one instructor for each eight students although the norm is 1 to 6. This course can be run anywhere.
